fader.flux is a simple tool that maps the continuous controller values that come out of the midi-controller [DJ2 from Faderfox](http://faderfox.de/html/dj2_product_page.html) into a non-continuous range of values and outputs them to the OSC protocol. This tool is mainly for use in conjunction with software that does not understand the 12 continuous controller values of the DJ2.

having read [fAlk's nice article about the faderfox
DJ2](http://prototypen.com/blog/falk/archive/002336.html) and about the
problems of using the endless dial knobs with
[VDMX](http://vidvox.net/), i reacted to his question whether this would
somehow be possible to solve. i created this little application with max
that translates the endless dial's signals to
[OSC](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_Sound_Control) messages which
can be sent to [VDMX5](http://vidvox.net/). fAlk created a nice
splash-screen and manual for it. there may be more proto:flux projects
coming in the future...stay tuned...

A Mac standalone and a Max/MSP 4.6 collective were at
`kiritanflux.de/lab/patch/faderflux`, which is gone.
