The Mask Generator VJ,software, installation, visualBerlin Ran Ancor Ran Ancor Ran ancor, videomaker and musician, born in 1969, lives in Rome, Italy. He studied philosopy with a minor in computers, then started to work in between art and informatics. During last years he worked on electronic live-set with video and music and also as a vj. Most significant elements in his video works are immateriality, movement and metamorphosis, visual fluxus, fusion with sound and space. Live Cinema Reconsidered live cinema, visualBerlin fAlk fAlk Creating a new type of event is the conclusion out of 10 years of frustration, research and performances. fALk will be sharing his most recent theoretical research in the field of live audiovisual storytelling and performances. He will shed light on how to succeed in telling a story that has emotions, adds energy to the event can be watched for prolonged periods of times without banning the watchers in a chair and dark room all the while not loosing the overarching idea that it is a live performance that is created in front of the audience and in rhythmic and emotional synch with the music. For the talk he will elaborate on performance techniques, interface ideas and his personal path forward. As per usual in his presentation this comes with a heavy dose of utopianism and provocation.
(This video was produced in 2010 at visualberlinFestival by Oigovisiones and has not been part of the Scope Sessions. AV,music, visualBerlin TriOOn TriOOn TRIoon is a live oriented AV project bringing together in a unique jam session three experienced independent artists with diverse backgrounds and approaches. A TRIoon performance is a bending of time in realtime: where moments in time are reassembled using the resonant and the electrical, using tools from a 1000 years of sonic evolution, colour, tone, light and shade. TRIoon explores the realms of method, discipline, chaos, thought, feeling, boundaries, nation, culture and technology, improvising a narrative in realtime. Armed with a guitar, a bass guitar, a box of childrens instruments, found objects, a radio, FX, self-built Minitronics and 3 laptops which they refuse to synchronise, TRIoon responds to the moment taking the audience on a total rollercoaster ride of the senses encompassing fragility, intensity, movement and stillness. TRIoon is an international collaboration between producer/musicians Dr.Nojoke (Germany) and J-Lab (UK) & Spanish musician/visual artist, Servando Barreiro operating mainly in the Netaudio and Open Source community. At the moment they are based in Berlin, Germany. TRIoon presented their debut performance at Club Transmediale 09 in Berlin.
(This video was produced in 2010 at visualberlinFestival by Oigovisiones and has not been part of the Scope Sessions.
