VisualBerlin is a video art association that offers a platform for live video performers seeking cooperative projects and mutual exchange. It has been mostly active between 2006 and 2012. The Videokunst-Club VisualBerlin e.V. was founded in 2005 and still exists and is a non-profit organization. Its members have participated in numerous festivals and events around the globe and has organized several video performance festivals in Berlin.

The club aims to spread information about the projected image as used in a live performance setting and all of its relative forms. It also provides the opportunity for combining the ideas, knowledge and creativity of its members to realize complex projects. The association operates in the tradition of the worldwide VJ network AVIT and strives for representing these ideals and philosophy in Germany and beyond.

My involvement with VisualBerlin was its inception and foundation as an official association and I served as elected member of the management board from the beginning until 2012.

In 2006 I help organize the 3 days *AVIT>C23* festival with over 80 invited audiovisual artists that ran alongside the 23rd Chaos Communication Congress.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
In 2008 I co-organized another edition called *μ:avit* in collaboration with the DMY Design festival.
|
|
|
|

As head of coordination I managed the organization of another 3 days VJ and video-arts festival with many international artists in 4 venues across Berlin, most notably as the first big event that ever took place in the turbine hall of Tresor.
