# Mews

|
A Flutter reader for Mews pages (see `../mews-spec/`). Local-first: pages,
|
|
|
|
|
bookmarks, subscriptions, and reading settings live in a local Drift database;
|
|
|
|
|
network access only revalidates the cache.
|
|
|

Targets Android and Linux desktop. From the repository root, run `devbox shell`
|
|
|
|
|
and then:
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
- `devbox run run-linux` — run the Linux desktop app
|
|
|
|
|
- `devbox run build-linux` — build the Linux bundle at `app/build/linux/x64/release/bundle/`
|
|
|
|
|
- `devbox run run` — run on a connected device
|
|
|
|
|
- `devbox run test` / `devbox run analyze`
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
The devbox shell supplies the GTK toolchain, cmake, ninja, clang, and
|
|
|
|
|
pkg-config that the Linux build needs. The bundle is self-contained: the build
|
|
|
|
|
adds an `$ORIGIN` runpath to the bundled engine library so Dart's sqlite3
|
|
|
|
|
lookup resolves when the binary is launched directly.
