Nothing but lines remained from photographs being damaged during the upload process - corrupt pictures. The attempt to transfer the analog world into the digital to make it immortal failed. It stands symbolically for the loss of control on the cusp of virtuality. The animated collages are created by mixing these corrupt picts with fragments of the originals. Markus Mehr is approaching the subject by representing a counter concept. DYSCHRONIA is based on one single base file, split in several sound collages during its formation process. The chronological distortions, temporal discontinuities and anachronistic artefacts influence the sound comparable to plug-ins. In her art she is reflecting inner processes about the relation of human and nature, physical restriction and its resolution. She won several awards and distinctions, herwork was shown on festivals e.g. in Berlin (GER), Stockholm (SW), Harare (ZW), Venice (IT) and internationally exhibited at galleries and in museums. In January 2012 “IN” is published followed by the albums “ON” (July 2012) and “OFF” (January 2013) and “BINARY ROOMS” (2014)«. On the piece “RE-DIRECTED” (2016) he was concentrating on non-harmonic structures, recording hard discs, servers and other devices with contact microphones. All of them are reviewed worldwide.
