He is a self described ‘film archivist’ whose practice focuses on the study of photochemical theories, the development of lab resources for filmmakers, and the documentation of various darkroom odysseys on motion picture film.The talk will expose his perspectives on contemporary film practices today, as well as the artist run film lab community, by discussing the formation, development, and infinite struggles of their collective, Process Reversal. In this, he will be sharing several works from members of the collective, including his own, and discussing their process and how it has evolved since the formation of our group. Along the way, he will explain several aspects of the photo-chemical process in film making and attempt to perform a live demonstration of a technique or two."
