DevTools writes devtools_options.yaml into a checkout the first time it runs. It records which DevTools extensions are enabled on this machine, nothing about the project, so it differs per checkout and is no use to anyone else. Ignored rather than committed because under jj, which tracks new files automatically, being ignored is the only way a file stays out of the next commit on its own. Muzzle Velocity
A fast and minimalist note-taking app inspired by Notational Velocity and Terminal Velocity. Notes are plain Markdown files in a folder you choose, so you can sync or edit them with other tools.
- One search bar to filter notes by title, content, and
#tags,+projects, or@contexts, and to create a note by pressing Enter. - Notes open read-only with Markdown highlighting, and jump to the search match. Switch to editing with one tap.
- Editing helps with Markdown: wrapping selections, continuing lists, and keeping indentation.
- Keyboard shortcuts on desktop and D-pad navigation on phones.
The in-app Help page (:help or the menu) describes every feature.
Development
The toolchain (Flutter, JDK, Android SDK, and Linux build tools) is managed with devbox:
devbox run test # Run the tests.
devbox run analyze # Run static analysis.
devbox run run # Run on a connected device.
devbox run run-linux # Run the Linux desktop app.
The devbox-managed Android SDK is read-only and provides NDK 27.0.12077973, so the Android build pins that version instead of Flutter's default.
